The popularity of artificial nails began in 1970’s with press-on nails much similar to the false nails we know today. The acrylic nails were shaped to cover the entire nail bed and attached with glue, not much has changed since then as these types of artificial nail décor are still available in the market today. 
It’s extremely hard to take care of False Nails. If you’re like me and you have to do a lot of household chores or your job requires you to be “hands on,” then keeping your False Nails looking spanking new is just too darn hard.
It comes as no big surprise that after the nail industry developed fake nails in the 1970’s, they eventually progressed to making fake toe nails. It is actually quite sensible since our feet get the most wear and tear in our body on a daily basis.

When you do the laundry, clean the dishes or any other household chores, it’s extremely difficult to maintain beautiful, well-manicured, long nails. These chores or tasks increases the chances of your breaking or chipping your wonderful nails.
